Unveiling of Library Sculpture

Saturday 3rd February 11 am

You are warmly invited to the unveiling of the sculpture specially created for the Library, with an opportunity to meet the artist himself Bill Sample.  Bill was previously a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, but was always making and creating things in his free time. Following early retirement he’s had the time to extend his skills, often using the natural landscape as a theme. You may already know of Bill’s more recent projects: the giant crow on Haughmond Hill; the flight of curlews above the lake at Norbury; the huge willow otter for Shropshire Wildlife Trust now on display outside their Shrewsbury headquarters.  Bill will introduce his work and explain how he has made the Library sculpture.

The sculpture will be unveiled by Councillor Lezley Picton, cabinet member for Culture & Leisure.

Do come along and be the first to see the sculpture created specially for our Library. Refreshments will be served, including the FoPL cake.  We look forward to seeing you there!
