The making and distribution of nearly 500 bookmarks across the Rea Valley area, was organised by the Friends of Pontesbury Library to commemorate the WW1 centenary. Local children from Minsterley Primary, Pontesbury CE Primary and St Thomas & St Anne’s Primary Hanwood created their own designs. The bookmarks were given to community members, friends and family as a token of remembrance. Thank you to all the children for their beautiful and thoughtful artwork, and the busy teachers who found time to make it all happen. The community has been very appreciative of the children’s efforts.
