I have always been interested in teaching and learning, both academic subjects and – a life-long passion – sport. I went to Hertford College, Oxford. I next became a teacher of History and English and Housemaster at Shrewsbury School. In 1983 I became Head of Prestfelde Prep School, which, among other things, involved the setting up of a new library. I have written three books for youngsters about football. Now retired, I am a regular worshipper at St George’s and I am on Pontesbury CE Primary School Governing Body as a foundation governor appointed by the Diocese.
