Our Library opens today at its new Pavilion home

Above Librarians Kay and Bev enjoy a short break from getting the library ready in its new home.

From today –  Monday 17th August – our Library will be open at the following times under guidance for libraries issued by the the government. Please note these are slightly different times from those at the old premises( changes in italics):

Monday 10am to 12noon   Tuesday 10am to 1pm then 2pm – 3pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)

Thursday 2pm to 4pm.        Saturday 10am to 12noon

It’s not been the fanfare celebration we’d all hoped for the new location, but then nothing has gone quite to plan for any of us this year since the first lock-down was imposed.  We’re hopeful of marking the occasion later in the year in style!

Rob Dixon and Jenny Wateridge are just two of the Friends of Pontesbury Library who worked hard to prepare the patio garden planters.  The one for the tree was kindly made by Ted France with contributions from Mike and Imogen Mortimer.  Do have a look for yourselves when you come to choose your books.
